“Cerca de Marquitabela” is a typical Alentejo monte (rural house) in a 12 ha agricultural property with old olive trees and fig trees, almond trees and cork oaks. There is also a small horticulture plot and many animals such as pigs, sheep, geese, ducks, chickens, cats and dogs. Property of Isabel Coutinho and Paulo Casaca, “Cerca de Marquitabela” has as caretakers  the couple Mrs. Francisca, who looks after  the house,  and Mr. Francisco Coirinha, who oversees the agricultural activities. They live inside the farm in separated premises.

The house totally reconstructed according to the original structure and using original materials. It occupies about 120 sqm, has a terrace and a swimming pool and is offered fully equipped. The inside space comprises a fair-sized  living room  with  fireplace  and adjoining  kitchenette, a large bedroom with a bathroom “en suite” and two smaller rooms which share the second bathroom; there is also a separate storeroom.  The large bedroom and one of the smaller rooms have double beds. The other  room has two single beds. The living room has two differently sized sofas and a dinning table accommodating 6-8  persons.  The front  opens to a  wide  outdoor terrace   shaded by olive trees and vines, which leads to the 9 meter-long swimming pool  situated  close to the  building. The house is  fully equipped and includes cable TV.
